In Light of is an examination of expanding space and time through light and opposition utilizing everyday house lamps. Looking towards our relationships to light as the driving force, the work raises many questions about dichotomies such as motion and stillness, conflict and cooperation, being and doing, on and off. Through this investigation, the goal is to create complexity through use of everyday objects and movement while focusing on form, rather than narrative, to construct a piece collaboratively.
