Do It

Do it is an ongoing series of short solo performances based on written instructions (scores) by artists and friends.  The project was inspired by flipping the pages of Do it: The Compendium curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist.  The book was made in 1993 as an experiment in finding fine arts exhibition formats that could be more flexible and open ended.  Taking cues from other art movements, such as Fluxus and Conceptual Art, Obrist investigated whether a show could be developed by “scores” to be interpreted every time the show was presented.
